1OAK is the original Las Vegas spot for hip hop. Open since New Years 2012, 1OAK can still deliver a fun night out. The lack of pretentiousness, more diverse crowd, and low minimum tables can be a nice change of pace from the expensive, EDM heavy clubs. It’s much less of a ‘scene’ than the newer clubs, so expect a wider variety of age, race and style inside 1OAK.
The venue is much smaller than your typical Vegas nightclub. The club is separated into three different sections, each containing a bar and DJ. Don’t go to 1OAK expecting Tier 1 Vegas ridiculousness and you’ll have a great time.
Main Room and dance floor in the middle. Hip Hop Room at the top-left. Lounge bottom-right.
1OAk has a stadium layout. Tables surround the dance floor and DJ booth. Bars are located in each of the side rooms as well as the back wall in the main room. There really are no bad locations in the main room because the club it’s not very big.
The entrance is on the bottom right and you pass by the lounge on the way to the main room. Lounge is very chill and a place to get away if it’s a busy night in the main room. Going past the main room with take you to the Hip Hop Room on the far end. There’s some small tables and dance floor back there.
First check out my guide: Nightclubs: How Do I Get In??
Getting into 1OAK is pretty standard. The entry can be a bit chaotic, but you will rarely have a long wait.
Tickets: Standard price is $20+. I wouldn’t really bother as cover is usually similarly priced to tickets. Exception would be for a big performer.
Guestlist: If you have an even M/F ratio or better it should be easy to guestlist for free.
Hotel guests: Don’t think there’s anything for Mirage guests. Can’t hurt to ask.
M life: As far as I know, no special privileges.
Since 1OAK isn’t a big club, it doesn’t take many people to make it feel tight inside. Add in premium tables with low minimums and I think it’s a no brainer to get a table.
Below I’ll give you the range of prices you can expect to pay for tables at 1OAK. Min will be table minimums. All in means taxes, fees, handshake and all tips included. Prices can spike for special events but otherwise they’re pretty reasonable.
Main Room, Lounge, Hip Hop Room: Pretty much the only room to be in at 1OAK is the main room. The closer to the dance floor the table is, the better. Once you get to Tier 3 or side rooms they’re usually just one bottle minimums.
- Dance Floor Table (#30-44): Min: 1-2.5k, All in: 1.5-3.7k
- Tier 2 (#20-25, 50-64): Min: 1-1.5, All in: 1.5-2.2
- Tier 3 (#70-78): Min: 600-1000, All in: 1-1.5
- Lounge (#1-9): Min: 600, All in: 1000
- Hip Hop Room (#80-94): Min: 600, All in: 1000
- Always ask your host about bottle deals. Usually buy 1, get 1 is available.
- If you can’t get a main room table, take the Hip Hop Room over the Lounge.
- Most tables sit 4-10 people.
